Product Details

Over the last few years Tim Kirk's flagship Shiraz Viognier has been stealing a greater share of Australia's best Shiraz title. As much as we'd like to drink this wine everyday, our wallets might not allow it. In its place Tim's Hilltops Shiraz is a worthy replacement. A savoury medium-bodied red with peppery red fruits and great Rhone-like qualities.

6/7/2020Deep, bright purple/red colour, with a clean and fresh, plum and dark-berry aroma laced with brown spice and earthy notes. The palate is elegantly medium to full-bodied and fresh, brightly fruited and finishes with firm tannins that leave a lingering grip and a slight impression of bitterness, all of which cleanses the aftertaste.

9/6/2020This is a fresh, young wine of some charm. It’s deep purplish in colour and offers floral scents, blackberry, mocha and savoury, lightly clovey spice on the nose. In the mouth, it’s vibrant and juicy in flavour,  medium in body, and sandy tannins give it just enough definition for fine balance.

30/12/2025Full, bright purple colour; dark cherry, mixed spice aromas featuring star anise, pepper and a faint lilt of eucalyptus. Medium-full body and fine tannins that are poised and precise, the palate elegantly framed and long. This is enjoyable now for its superb balance and softness, but has the potential to develop well in bottle for many years.
