Easter Choctail Recipe: Choc-Affogato

Coffee and chocolate – is there a better flavour combination? This Easter, try your hand at making a chocolate cocktail with a caffeine kick.


75g dark cooking chocolate
100mL thickened cream
90mL espresso
90mL Baileys Original Irish Cream
3 scoops of chocolate ice cream
3 amaretti biscuits, roughly crushed
½ orange, zest finely grated


1. Finely chop the chocolate and place into a glass bowl.
2. Bring the cream to the boil and pour over the chocolate. Constantly mix until the chocolate melts into the cream to form a smooth sauce.
3. Mix the coffee and Baileys Liqueur together.
4. Divide chocolate into glasses of your choice. Add scoops of ice cream and then pour over the coffee Baileys mix.
5. Sprinkle over a little orange zest and garnish with the crumbled biscuits. Serve immediately.
