Rose petals, stone fruit, strawberries and cream. Crisp yet soft, fruity yet mineral, and fun yet (a little bit) serious. The result is a unique Rosé that is easy to drink yet complex and potentially age-worthy, but who needs to age a Rosé when its this good.
A blend of Nebbiolo, Durif, Shiraz and Tannat, with a touch of Riesling. Each variety was harvested at their own special ‘Rosé’ maturity level and fermented separately to add their individual piece of the puzzle to this blend. Nebbiolo for structure and some floral tones, Durif for strawberry notes, Shiraz for a generous mid-palate, Tannat for structure and length, then Riesling for zing.
8/9/2021A deepish rosé colour, with a smoked-meaty aroma, some mellowing cherry nuances too, while the taste is rich and slightly sweet, with bulk and texture and a certain thickness of mouth-feel. A rather strong wine—thanks in part to its alcohol—which sits at the opposite end of the rosé continuum from the pale, delicate, dry Provençal styles.
