Product Details

Showing volume and body with elegance and restraint, this perfumed and refined medium-bodied cool-climate Syrah is the result of an assemblage of sixteen individual small batches predominantly sourced from 1994-planted Block 25 on our Maroondah Highway vineyard.

Nose: Rosemary, charcuterie board, Bresaola, bergamot, olive tapenade, black cardamom, pencil shavings, star anise, Lapsang souchong tea with ‘dirty Martini’ brine complexity.

Palate: Rich and silky texture over a medium-tensile acidity line that defines and supports an intensity and slow-build of boldness and weight. Bright flavours of loganberry, cola nut, guava, tangerine, sumac and sorrel. Mouth-filling, all-encompassing medium-impact tannins underpin a deep lingering resonance of flavour on the textural palate. This wine is suitable for vegans.

5/12/2025Deep and dense ruby red colour. Blood plums, smoked prosciutto and wakame aromatics. Full in weight but with a line of tension that brings vitality and lift. The core is dark plum fruit with savoury complexity building over it—white pepper, nori and smoky meat notes along the long palate. Fine gravelly tannins carry it very long

29/12/2025Full ruby red colour. Blood plum, nori and brisket aromas. Full and weighty but balanced on a taut line of tannins and a fine mesh of acidity. Savoury drive leads, with smoky meats, wakame and dried blood notes, underpinned by dried blueberry richness. Prodigious length, gliding with seamless elegance that belies its intensity. Distinctly syrah rather than shiraz in style
