12YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700mL

Founded in 1899, the Suntory brand started as a small wine store in Osaka, but grew rapidly over the years, encompassing a wide range of products. Their construction of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 and the release of Suntory Shirofuda Whisky in 1929 brought Japanese Whisky into the public eye and the brand soon became synonymous with outstanding craftsmanship and expertise.

Yamazaki Pure Malt is fresh, fruit-forward single malt blended with the pure waters of the Southern Japanese Alps. The nose opens with light herbal aromas which merge with notes of green apple, pear and almond, backed by soft smoke. The palate is soft and delicate with complex notes of lime, plum, sweet pear, smoke and chamomile, accented by a sweet hint of butter cookie. Notes of honey, lemon and spicy ginger emerge on the lingering finish. Pair it with pork ribs or dark chocolate to compliment a dessert.
