Product Details

House of Arras Grand Vintage is at the pinnacle of Australian sparkling wine! A wine of uncompromising quality enriched by the great complexity of character that follows seven years on tirage. Lifted nuances of desiccated pear and peach, an exotic and persistent palate structure with characters of Miso.

Sparkling bright yellow gold with a fine and persistent bead. Lifted aromas reminiscent of fresh brioche, white flowers, oyster shell and exotic spice. A seamless and elegantly structured palate presence exhibiting characters of toasted sourdough, field mushroom, lemon curd and malted barley. The wine shows great tension and poise with the low dosage in perfect balance with fine tannins and natural acidity.

For the first time ever, an Australian winemaker has been named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at this year’s International Wine Challenge. The award was presented to House of Arras Chief Winemaker Ed Carr. The monumental win for Australia's most awarded sparkling wine producer, also marks the second time in the competition's 40-year history that a winemaker outside of Champagne has received the award.

Huon Hooke
3/8/2021Medium to light-straw colour. The bouquet is restrained, nutty, quite complex but in an understated way, with a hint of baked lemon-pudding in the background, while the palate has very good intensity and drive, powering a very long finish that's satisfying and appetisingly dry. There is richness and breadth but also refinement, finishing with a subtle grip that adds to its backbone.

Huon Hooke
26/9/2025Light, bright yellow/straw in the glass, with aromas of herbs, celeriac and green apple, smoky/toasty tertiary characters in the background, and everything in lovely balance—no one thing dominating. The mousse is creamy on the palate with fluffy texture and a lovely dry, appetising finish which is soft, balanced and dry. Great length and tension. A seriously smart sparkling wine, ageing slowly and gracefully.
