Product Details

The Bendigo wine region is renowned for some of Australia’s best Shiraz. The red Cambrian soils, an important part of the terroir of the region, produce the signature inky depth of colour and deep, dark complex fruit profile.

The wine offers a complex array of fruit aromas of black fruit, spice, cloves and plum and crushed dried herbs. On the palate the wine is tightly packed full of black fruit, spice, cloves, and plum. The oak characters are beautifully integrated into the wine, giving the wine structure and adding power, balance, and a savoury richness. We have power and intensity, yet suppleness and our hallmark Rhone like qualities.

Huon Hooke
13/10/2012Medium to full red colour, a faint hint of purple in the tint, but rather developed looking. Slightly porty, desiccated fruit aromas, with hints of jam and raisined fruit as well as extreme herbal, spice notes including green peppercorns. Rather like an overripe Rhone syrah. Some harshness in texture, underlined by alcohol heat. It needs time to soften, but it certainly packs a lot of flavour.

*Wine Rank: #64 of 159 - 2010 Shiraz from Victoria
