9/10/2015A light colour for a young shiraz, it's just medium red with purple tints, and the aromas are very 'cool' and spicy/peppery, fragrant and aromatic, with a suggestion of stems or whole-bunch ferment. It's light and fresh on the palate, medium-bodied and with the 'cold' sensation that often comes with stemmy shiraz. It's unequivocally cool-climate and stemmy in style, perhaps a bit too much for some people. I find it delicious and up-front, drinking well right now. It will improve with a year or two as the stemmy characters mellow and integrate. A fine wine, but it's not for everyone.

8/4/2016Medium red colour with a purple tinge; the bouquet is discreetly spicy, vegetal and foresty, with the 60% stalk inclusion making its presence felt. The palate is savoury and dry, with ample soft tannins, focus and precision. A finer style of shiraz. (13.2% alc.)

4/5/2021Deep ruby core into a brick-red rim. Forest berries, white pepper and wakame on the nose. Medium-weighted, with a remarkable freshness of fruit for its age. Beyond that, pepper-spice and soy savouries provide character and interest. Has a seamless aged quality that makes it a joy to drink, the tannins still playing an integral part to carrying its line and length.

17/10/2023Medium-deep colour, with just a trace of purple. Smoky spicy, brown-spice aromas, evidently with a solid oak contribution. The wine is medium bodied and smooth, rounded, and big on savoury flavours, eastern spices and smoky/nutty/toasty aspects. There is intensity and drive while it does seem to owe a lot to oak.

13/2/2023Medium to deep ruby red colour. Raspberry, shiso and wood oil aromas. Medium bodied with an easy glide as it flows long across the palate. Red berries are central to the core whilst hints of rose petal florals and red peppercorn spices linger at the edges. tannins are present but remain in the background; they have enough intensity to ensure a long and dry finish
