Product Details

Devil's Corner Resolution Pinot Noir is an elegant cool-climate red wine sourced from premium vineyard sites across Tasmania's East Coast and Tamar Valley. Named after the ship that once circumnavigated Tasmania, the Resolution range captures the influence of the island's rugged coastline, wild weather and bold winemaking. Showcasing premium fruit and exceptional vineyard sites, these wines balance cool-climate elegance with intensity of flavour, shaped by crisp coastal winds, dramatic storms and long sunshine hours.

The renowned Hazards Vineyard on Tasmania's East Coast, together with select sites in the Tamar Valley, produce fruit with exceptional colour, concentration and intensity. The result is a Pinot Noir with both power and finesse, reflecting the character of some of Tasmania's most celebrated cool-climate wine regions.

This full-bodied style displays fragrant aromas of red berries, black cherry and subtle cedar spice from French oak. On the palate, juicy fruit flavours are balanced by a crisp savoury texture and fine-grained tannins, creating a wine with impressive structure, balance and length.

The fruit was cold soaked before fermentation and hand plunged in open-top fermenters to build texture and complexity. Partial whole bunch fermentation and wild yeast ferment contributed additional savoury character, while maturation in French oak, including 16% new oak, added subtle depth and refinement.

Ideal for elevated dinners, entertaining and special celebrations, this Pinot Noir is equally rewarding when enjoyed young or carefully cellared for up to 7 years. Pair with chargrilled lamb cutlets marinated in chimichurri and served with bok choy, or whole roasted duck accompanied by Mediterranean vegetables and rich red wine jus.

25/1/2023Deep rich red with a lick of purple and a bold, straightforward dark-cherry bouquet laced with dried herbs and other savoury nuances, the palate medium bodied and showing some intensity and persistence, the tannins firm and insistent. A plain but good-value pinot with some drive, and would go best with protein-rich foods. Good value.

10/1/2025Medium ruby with purple glints at the rim. Ripe raspberry and roses on the nose. Juicy and sweet red fruits at its core. Tannins have a fine tension to them so offer drive but the whole palate still falls into the sweet fruited zone and finishes with that sweetness lingering
