Product Details

Dark berries and plum with spicy mocha, liquorice, vanilla, and pepper. The aromas are mirrored on the palate with dark chocolate undertones and silky tannins. Sticky barbecue beef ribs, tofu with chilli bean paste or spicy cinnamon and rhubarb bake.

Family owned and operated, earthworks make its wines from 100% Barossa grapes, grown from small family owned vineyards. Drawing on more than 160 years of local wine knowledge, traditional winemaking methods and minimal processing are used to preserve the purity, integrity, and flavour of the wines.

1/8/2023Deep, dark colour with little purple remaining; there are reserved aromas of earthy terracotta and dusty dried herbs. There's a savoury edge and a trace of licorice. The palate is medium bodied and well endowed with tannin that adds firmness, dryness/grip and length to the finish. A pleasing mouthful of unadorned shiraz that represents good value for money.

25/11/2022Deep, dense, inky wine with almost syrupy intensity. Chocolate/mocha, smoky oak. vanilla and sweet liquorice flavours. Accessible, crowd-pleasing red that is good drinking now, but no rush.

12/12/2024Dense, almost jammy black fruit with drying black pepper and dusty, bittersweet chocolaty tannins. The palate is light-weight and quite simple but it has crowd-pleasing sweet fruit and soft texture for early-drinking

*Wine Rank: #240 of 245 - 2022 Shiraz from Barossa
