Escarpment Pinot Noir from New Zealand highlights Martinborough's unique terroir and winemaking philosophy, soundly revealed in this blend of Pinot Noir parcels from across this beautifully well-suited cool climate district.
A savory expression of Pinot Noir showcasing fresh earth, spice, orange rind and bay leaves. It is in keeping with the Escarpment style with forest floor, sumac and mulberry aromas. The wine expresses the elegance of the vintage with a palate that is bright and juicy with purity and drive bringing tension to every sip. It is medium bodied and a distinct expression of Martinborough Pinot Noir and the vintage. Enjoy now and over the next five to seven years Serve with Asian cuisine, Beef Bourgogne or full flavoured fish.
3/3/2020A step up in concentration from the entry level Noir but with similar tobacco, cherry, toast, dried herb, floral and spice flavours. Subtle fruit sweetness is balanced by suede-like tannins.

30/9/2025Open-knit aromas of dried herb, tea leaves, roses, wild raspberry and red cherry with deeper notes of blackberry bush underneath. The palate is light-weight though expressive, with stemmy tannins, crisp fruit and juicy acidity bringing freshness and vibrancy to the burst of pretty, raspberry flavours on the back. A charming and pretty pinot noir which will resolve its lightly chalky grip in the next year or two
