Glaetzer's Bishop is a true expression of Barossa Shiraz that is elegantly structured with a long finish. Exceptional old-vine fruit was sourced from the famed Ebenezer sub district at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley. Vine age 35 - 120 years old. The 2020 Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz is vibrant purple in the glass, with hints of cut plum, dried spice and dark chocolate. It has great mid-palate freshness with flavours of blackcurrant and mocha. Finely tuned tannins provide structure and length.
15/2/2023Deep red with a good purple tint and the aromas are reserved and shy, mellowing already, pleasant plummy, cocoa-powder, earthy/humus and oaky traces. The wine is full bodied and fleshy, with generous supple but drying tannins and good length. There is richness and fruit-sweetness at the core.

21/7/2025Aromas of plum, mulberry, spice, earth, bramble and woodsy edge. Dark fruited, mouth-filing, generously flavoured and straightforward in its delivery. The tannins are firm and grippy and the acidity is perky and punchy
