Product Details

Sourced entirely from Barossa vineyards this Cabernet is all class. Rich concentrated fruit flavours blend seamlessly with classic Cabernet tannins.

The union between Meshach and Shadrach has led me to name my finest Cabernet Sauvignon - 'Shadrach'. My pursuit of excellence in Cabernet Sauvignon continues to reach new heights with the release of the 2013 Shadrach from an outstanding vintage. The majority of grapes were sourced from my Corryton Park vineyard, one of the highest and coolest in the Barossa region, which provides perfect conditions for producing wines with great finesse, intensity and structure. The portion from the Barossa floor contributes to a full and generous palate, and together with 21 months in the finest French oak, this wine can be enjoyed for well over a decade. Grant Burge

Huon Hooke
7/11/2019Deep, rich red with a fleck of purple, excellent colour for its age. The bouquet is tremendously rich in fruitcake, Christmas pudding/panforte kinds of aromas, chocolate too, and dried figs. A hint of mint emerged later. A lot of oak has been employed, but it’s not overly oaky as such. A big, solid, full-bodied wine of concentration and density, with a long, resonant finish.

11/6/2025Dense, saturated red-purple colour; sweet blackberry aromas are out front, laced with cedary oak, also quite obvious. Hint of tomato bush. Stacks of fruit here and it just looks to need more time to all come together. Tannins are fine and mouth-coating, in balance with the wine.
