Product Details

Stunning Central Otago Pinot Noir displaying intense aromas of spice, red primary fruits and dried herbs. This characteristic is unique in the Pinot world identifying the New Zealand region of Gibbston immediately with its beguiling aromas. With a deep purple scarlet colour the wine is rich and full bodied with layers of fine grape tannins in support. The natural fine acids are present in the background, giving the wine balance and structure.

17/11/2025Medium-deep, bright ruby colour with a strong tint of purple; the bouquet is fresh and fruit driven, with bright raspberry, red cherry and balsamic herb nuances, showing impressive detail for such a young pinot, and the palate is concentrated and powerful, with impressive depth of flavour and detail, line and length, wonderful sweetly ripe berry fruit flavours and tremendous persistence. This is a stunning pinot noir with terrific detail allied to power, length and serious structure. Great drinking now, and will surely age superbly.

18/11/2025High-toned with fragrant whole bunch complexity laid over ripe red fruit, crunchy black raspberry and cinnamon oak. Light and elegant with intricate, ripe tannins which aid the flow of fruit across the palate, lifting towards the finish with excellent balancing acidity, neither tart nor crisp. Late notes of spice emerge along with some darker wood tones and persistent macerated berry flavours on the long, sustained finish. A baby currently and still encased in its youthful shell of oak, this needs a year or two before its inherent perfume and delicacy can emerge
