In its milestone 75th Anniversary release, the 2022 Grange honours the vintages that came before. Grange is crafted utilising fully-ripe, intensely-flavoured and structured shiraz grapes. The result is a unique style that is recognised as one of the most consistent of the world’s great wines. Tightly woven, defined and yet intense, generous. Black cherry, dark chocolate and Chinotto, and also adds – walnut and Dubbin boot polish.
The limited edition release of Special Shiraz celebrates the varietal at the heart of Penfolds, honouring the grape that has shaped its identity and defined Australian fine wine. Its lineage sets it apart, with a small inclusion of matured Grange drawn from barrel. Silky and sleek, it reveals pecan pie, hazelnut and berry coulis, lifted by goji berry brightness, with fine, chalky tannins and a polished, persistent finish.
Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon, Bin 407 reflects Penfolds multi-regional blending. The 2024 vintage shows blackcurrant, cassis and dark plum, leading to a medium-full palate with fine tannins, black cherry and subtle oak spice. Fresh acidity drives a long, persistent finish. Approachable yet age-worthy.
The structure of Cabernet Sauvignon meets the richness of Shiraz. A benchmark Penfolds wine and one of the most collected wines in Australia. The 2024 Bin 389 combines Shiraz richness with Cabernet structure. Dark plum, blackcurrant and cassis lead to a medium-full palate of dark cherry, spiced oak and firm yet supple tannins. Built for cellaring.
Bin 311 Chardonnay reflects the winemakers’ ethos of selecting fruit from regions where it performs at its finest and aligns seamlessly with the desired style. The 2025 vintage showcases the pinnacle of multi-regional, cool-climate sourcing, resulting in a Chardonnay defined by striking tension, clarity, and mineral precision.
Bin 28 Shiraz is the older Bin-range wine, developed in the wake of Max Schuberts iconic Grange journey. The 2024 vintage captures the essence of multi-regional South Australian Shiraz. Dark plum, blackberry and spice aromatics lead to a medium-full palate of supple tannins, dark cherry, licorice and subtle oak spice. Approachable and versatile.
Sourced from the ancient terra rossa soils of Coonawarra in South Australia’s Limestone Coast. The 2023 Bin 128 showcases the distinctive character of Coonawarra Shiraz. Dark cherry, plum and subtle mint aromatics lead to a medium-bodied palate of fine elegant tannins, fresh acidity and mineral undertones. Cool-climate refinement and elegance.
When young, this exceptional shiraz gives plenty of black cherry and dark berry notes laced with savoury spices. A layer of creamy liqueur character adds complexity. Concentrated and age-worthy, expect earthy and chocolate tones to develop over time. A wine built for the long haul.
