This iconic Australian red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, offering a complex and balanced flavour profile. 19/7/2023Good depth and saturation of colour, some humus/seaweed/nori notes to the mulberry, blueberry aromas. The palate is full-bodied but leaner and tighter than anticipated, with very smart middle-palate focus and again loads of mulberry on the tongue, finishing with a burst of tannic bitterness that is well within bounds. Needs time: an improver for sure. (Bordeaux & Barossa Valley; a partnership with Dourthe. Multi-vintage as it's a blend of 2020 Bordeaux merlot & 2021 South Australian cabernet sauvignon)
