Product Details

Sandalford 1840 Range Cabernet Merlot 750mL is available in a single bottle. This wine opens with berries and savoury spices, but keeps evolving in the glass. There’s plums and stewed rhubarb with a floral lift. For the savoury there’s smoky vanilla and fennel as well as mocha. The palate is complex and beautifully textured with silky smooth tannins. The acid is bright and leads this wine to have wonderful length on the finish. Sandalford 1840 Range Cabernet Merlot 750mL is the perfect choice for any occasion, so get yours now.

17/8/2021Deep and dark in colour, lovely vibrancy and youthfulness. Dark fruit aromas, plums, dark cherry, menthol, cedar and dried herbs. Firm and structured on the palate, plenty of dark, layered, plummy fruit. There’s a cool-fruited mintiness and an authoritative drive of grippy, structured tannin that shapes the wine very nicely. Length and texture are impressive.

24/3/2021Medium to deep ruby core, fading slightly to the rim. Dark berries, leaf and cedar shavings on the nose. The palate sits medium-bodied and flows lightly across the tongue. Some savoury elements give character. Fine tannins carry it with length and precision to the finish.

28/12/2023Good depth and tint of colour, interesting nose with some sarsaparilla, violet, blueberry nuances, the palate lean and somewhat skinny, without a lot of fruit-sweetness and ripe cabernet flavour. It tapers off towards the modest-length finish.
