Since 2005, each vintage is bottled tiny quantities of what we reckon to be supreme, single vineyard examples of the Barossa’s heritage grape varieties under the Righteous label. The Righteous hails from a vineyard at Moppa in the Northern Barossa, planted in deep sand over red clay with ironstone rocks scattered throughout. Sweet, deliciously ripe flavours, soft and supple, rounded and balanced, with sweet black-cherry fruit character. Lovely wine, soft and fleshy and fruit-sweet. Silken texture. Get it in your glass whilst stocks last!
'Deep ruby-red hue. Ripe blueberry, anise and poached rhubarb aromatics. Ripe core of fruit with black spices and a dark mineral undertone. Great length and it’s well framed by judiciously built tannins. A powerful grenache that still carries the balance that this variety excels at. Will cellar well and sing with game meats.' Stuart Knox – The Real Review. 23 Jan 2024.
16/3/2022Medium-depth of red to brick-red colour. The bouquet is very complex and starting to display tertiary characters, 'roasting pan' and ironstone joining with graphite and smoked charcuterie. Chocolate-coated black cherries. Some oak appears to have been employed. The tannins are ample and supple, and are superbly matched to the flavours of this full-bodied wine, which persist in a long and satisfying fashion. A smashing wine!

5/12/2024Raspberry coulis, Ribena, vanilla and cola aromas seduce on the nose. The palate is awash with palate-staining flavours of red lollies, roses and sweet spices. There's so much flavour yet the wine remains light on its feet, gliding across the palate. Savoury tannins rib around the core, providing a framework for the intense flavours. This needs time in the cellar—it has a great life ahead
