Product Details

'The grapes come from 31 rows of low-yielding estate shiraz planted circa 1900, and notwithstanding this pedigree, there is also a selection of the best barrels. It is a profound, full-bodied wine, its stygian black fruits and dark chocolate the essence of McLaren Vale, the tannins well balanced; the alcohol is not obvious, and the trade-off has been accepted by Ben Glaetzer' (2012 Vintage) - 95 Points.- James Halliday - Published on 27 Jul 2014

10/11/2025A chorus of vanilla, toasted coconut and dried blackberry sings from the glass. The palate is a chewy and dense mix of dark berries and bitter chocolate tannins that contain the engorged core. It's weighty in flavour, yet not weighty in its carriage. With six years under its belt, tertiary notes are starting to emerge and counter the mass of fruit and oak flavours. This is ageing nicely: it's stylish and complex
