Product Details

The Pelorus Rosé is smooth and elegant. The pale salmon hue and brambly aromas reveal its beginnings in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. You’ll find the nose is laden with raspberries, cranberries and ripe wild strawberries, while red florals, rosehip and marzi-pan hover at the fringe. The entry is gentle, with mouth-filling characters of baked quince, cranberry and brioche. Soft citrus notes bring freshness and balance to the palate, while its fine structure persists all the way to a soft, dry finish.

18/6/2020Bright, vivid purple-pink colour, with a gently toasty-bread bouquet revealing good bottle-developed complexity, with hints of strawberry and toffee apple. The palate is full and rich, round and smooth, at the same time refined and elegant. The harmony is outstanding, imparting freshness with softness and immediate approachability. A lovely wine.

25/2/2015Reasonably deep copper colour. Full-flavoured wine with hints of biscuit and strawberry. Dry, but not austere, with a rich texture and lengthy finish. Classy sparkler with character.

11/7/2018Pale pink pinot noir-dominant blend with subtle cherry, strawberry and toasty yeast autolysis flavours. Charming wine in a bone-dry style and with an ethereal texture and impressively lengthy finish. A serious fizz

30/1/2020Pale pink/orange colour. Fresh, appealing Méthode with subtle cherry, strawberry and raspberry flavours together with oyster shell, bread crust and a hint of toast. A nice combination of youthful freshness with a savoury edge from bottle development.

6/12/2022A blend of chardonnay and pinot noir that has spent at least 24 months on tirage. Orange/pink colour. Rich, mouth-filling wine with a creamy texture and flavours that suggest brioche and subtle strawberry. Quite weighty with a backbone of gentle acidity.

13/1/2026Moderately complex with elegant understated rose petal, cherry and raspberry fruit sitting alongside gentle notes of pastry crust and sweet biscuit. The palate is expressive but subtle. This is a more subtle wine but one with a surprisingly lengthy finish.

16/1/2024Bright salmon pink, this is a sweet-smelling, strawberries and cream style of rosé, lifted by a note of dried basil and rhubarb. The palate is soft, off-dry and fruity with a light-bodied elegance and an ethereal quality. Some fine-boned phenolics taper in on the finish, giving a bit of texture and some drying chewiness on the finish. A light-hearted, frivolous rosé for immediate enjoyment. (disgorged 2023)

19/9/2025Pale coral-pink. Fragrant and expressive, this has immediately complex aromas of apricot tart and strawberry shortbread which lead directly to light-weight flavours of raspberry and rhubarb, dusted with icing sugar and subtle toasty, brioche complexity. Definitely off-dry and balanced forward for immediate enjoyment. Textbook, crowd-pleasing méthode traditionnelle with plenty of easy drinkability. Bottle code 21NV01
