Product Details

In the cool, southern reaches of Western Australia, Sauvignon Blanc has the time to develop great varietal purity, intense flavour and structural exactness.

From this gift of nature, the winemaker can with confidence enhance, embellish, even temper the powerful, exotic and sometimes challenging expression to create a wine that is textured, layered and enriched to complement Sauvignon’s exuberant personality.

4/4/2017(Margaret River) Poohy reductive aroma, rather unattractive to sniff. The wine is soft and round on the tongue with straightforward herbal flavours and is again lacking freshness. Some barrel-ferment is noted: oak shows on both nose and palate but the bouquet is big on sweaty sulfides.

20/3/2017It is good to be reminded just how good this wine is. Pristine parcels of Margaret River sauvignon blanc are handled differently to introduce complexity into the wine. In addition to cool-fermented free run juice, there are portions of hand-picked grapes, which are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in oak, plus a small fraction spending time on skins. I adore that it is unmistakably sauvignon in character, but with depth, texture and a presence not often seen. Fruit characters of ripe gooseberries and pithy grapefruit plus distinctive spice

24/6/2025Very light straw-yellow hue; passionfruit/gooseberry and lemony varietal fruit combines with smoky oak and creamy lees aromas. The wine is bright and light with a crisp, lively palate presence. There is firm acidity that stiffens the palate with an almost metallic spine, a structure that will go well with food.

*Wine Rank: #7 of 33 - 2024 Sauvignon Blanc from Western Australia
