Product Details

Perrier-Jouet is one of France's most historic and distinctive champagne houses. A pale pink rose with fruit aromas of strawberry and peach. The palate surprise with more weight than the subtlety of the nose suggests. Its creamy mousse floats above a stream of fine, delicate bubbles. This is a very suave, seductive style with plenty of fruit and a fine, lengthy finish.

Founded in 1811 in the heart of Champagne, the House of Perrier-Jouet has built up a collection of exceptional vineyard over the years with a preponderance of chardonnay, sustaining an expertise rooted in the region's finest winemaking tradition. It's cuvees, the fruit of many year's work, are as elegant, stylish, diamond-cut and floral as the spray od anemones on the Belle Epoque bottle designed by master glassmaker Emile Galle in 1902.

10/3/2014This is made by adding 15% red wine to the Grand Brut. The colour is medium smoked-salmon pink. It has an intense spicy, strawberry and mushroom bouquet, and the flavour is very charming and sweet-fruited, with definite flavour and some tannin helping cleanse the finish. It tastes slightly sweeter than the Belle Epoque rose, but it's just that it's fruitier and younger. The dosage is the same.

7/10/2014Light salmon-pink colour. Lovely cashewnutty aroma; fresh and vibrant, clean and creamy. A fine wine of precision and balance, the dosage nicely measured and contributing to a lovely roundness and completeness on the palate.

23/12/2016(2012 base year) Light-medium pink with a youthful tint; the bouquet reminds of jamon iberico, charcuterie and is somewhat meaty, possibly reductive. In the mouth, it's soft and full, rich ad round, with lovely balance but not great detail, especially compared to the Belle Epoque Rose 2006. This has more weight and richness, but isn't as delicate or refined. Excellent all the same.

22/2/2018A more youthful salmon-pink hue than the 2005 Belle Époque Rosé, with some purple reflections. Floral, rose petal aromas, fresh and yet complex with a nice bready touch. Spicy, dried herb hints. Generous, easy to enjoy flavour and balance. Excellent. (Base vintage: 2013)

13/8/2019Medium to deep youthful, fresh fuchsia-pink colour. Restrained strawberry to raspberry fruit leading the aromas, and corella pear. It's fresh and youthful, bright and fruity, with abundant raspberry flavour, completed by a smidgin of sweetness. A good, fruity, straightforward but generously-flavoured commercial style.
