Product Details

Deep red to crimson in colour. The aromatics display baking spices, plum, licorice allsorts, and blackberries. There are nuances of sea spray and ozone, combined with a melange of dark berries. The palate is rich and supple with great depth. Dark fruits, such as blueberry, are complemented by a savoury mid palate, showing tapenade and dried herbs. There are lovely bitter chocolate tannins and the recognizable structure and architecture that Coonawarra Cabernet is famous for. The palate crosses the line between savoury and fruit sweetness beautifully. Will be a lovely youthful wine as well as maturing into an elegant and structural older wine. Enjoy now or cellar for seven to ten years.

6/10/2021Deep, bright, youthful red/purple colour and a vibrant, hi-fi cabernet nose of cassis, briar and assorted berries, including blueberry. Fresh acidity on the finish keeps it dancing across the tongue. A hint of crushed leaves. An elegant cabernet, driven by its bright fruit. It's gently wooded and already approachable.

23/9/2021From Yalumba's Menzies Vineyard. Elegant cabernet sauvignon with blackberry, cassis, bramble, cedar-wood and spice flavours supported by a backbone of firm, ripe tannins. Good cellaring potential.

27/9/2022Youthful colour for a four year-old. A quite traditional style with a complex nose of cassis, blackberry, new leather and smoky notes. It's ripe and appealing with only the slightest breath of regional mintiness. In the mouth it's smooth with a silky mid-palate and well-modulated, soft, ripe tannins. Easy drinking Coonawarra cab.

7/7/2025Briary, brambly, cassis, dark plum, ferrous earth, cedar, spice and dried herbs. Textured, layered, mouth-filling and long. Lashings of briary dark fruits, nutty oak, granular tannin and snappy acidity. Poised, polished and classic cabernet
