Product Details

A harmonious blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the Keyneton Euphonium reflects the richness and elegance of the Barossa. Lifted aromas of dark plum, blackberry and violets are layered with hints of spice and fine oak. The palate is supple and balanced, with silky tannins and a long, savoury finish.

A versatile wine that pairs beautifully with roasted meats or hearty dishes, and will reward careful cellaring over the medium term.

28/7/2022Deep ruby red in the glass. Fragrant and lifted with dark berry, violets and earth spices showing. Medium in weight yet carrying an underlying power that demands your attention. There’s a seamless nature to the wine that suggests a great blending hand in the background, not one note out of place. Great flow and it caresses the palate incredibly long and lingering.

10/6/2025Good depth of colour with a hint of purple in the rim; very savoury, toasty-straw, brown-spice, nutty bouquet that shows forward development. Some cassis and leafy notes too, suggesting cabernet in the mix. The wine is fruit-sweet in the core, seeming very ripe, then follows a big wave of chewy tannins. There are some greener elements in a somewhat schizophrenic wine. More time could improve it.

7/7/2025(Re-tasted) Good depth of ruby to garnet colour, showing some development appropriate to its age. The bouquet presents vanilla, chocolate, raspberry and sundry dried herbs, sweeter and increasingly cassisy as it aired. The palate is medium-full bodied and supple in its texture, with a fruit-sweet middle which smacks of crushed raspberries, then a supple tannin finish. Delicious—and it's a wine that responds well to generous airing. (A blend of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc & merlot)
